Grace Matata is a born and raised Tanzanian singer/songwriter based in Dar es Salaam. Her musical journey started five years ago once she got signed to a record label Music Lab (M-Lab) under the media group, Media Kings. Her music is a unique blend of Swahili soul, RnB and Jazz with a special touch of poetry and light heartwarming melodies.
A Tanzanian Reggae and Dancehall artist based in Dar es Salaam, born Michael Alfred Mwasote, 1984. Malfred’s breakthrough came in 2007/2008, when he took part in Tanzania’s biggest TV show competition Bongo Star Search. Late 2008 he recorded a song with Roots Riders, a reggae band from The Netherlands. He has continued recording in different studios located in Arusha and Dar es Salaam. He currently has two albums “Maisha Haya” which was released in 2009 and “Hisia Zangu” released in 2012 by Maisha Music Tanzania.
Swahili Ally aka Digo is an extremely talented singer and kora player from Tanga, Tanzania. He came on to the music scene in 2005. In 2010, he joined Lumumba Theatre Group, participated in several workshops including Music Crossroads, Umoja cultural flying carpet in Mozambique and Sauti Academy in Nairobi, Kenya.
Mzungu Kichaa is currently a musical star in East Africa where he broke through in 2009 with the album “Tuko Pamoja” and the hit single “Jitolee” featuring local stars Professor Jay and Mwasiti. In 2010, Mzungu Kichaa became the judge in Bongo Star Search, the Tanzanian equivalent to X-Factor, and in 2012 he released his EP “Hustle”. The first single from this release is called “African Hustle” and is a duet with Kenyan star, Dela. Mzungu Kichaa has been nominated twice for a Danish World Music Award – in 2009 in the category “Best World Album” for “Tuko Pamoja” and in 2012 “Twende Kazi” was a candidate for “Best World Track”. Mzungu Kichaa plays the special urban style of music called Bongo Flava that mixes reggae, rap, afrofusion and traditional Tanzanian music.
One The Incredible
Harry Harrison Kaale, known by his stage name as One The Incredible, was born on the 11th of June 1988 in Dar es salaam, Tanzania. One the Incredible is an emcee, rapper, hiphop artist. He is also a producer and beatmaker.
